Contemporary Hub For A Modern Wedding - SOUTH PLACE HOTEL

Brides want a fairytale wedding set in an ancient crumbling castle or decadent manor house, filled to the brim with abundant bouquets to rival giant funeral tributes right? Yeh? No? If this image of a wedding makes you want to dry heave, and your idea of the perfect venue is more luxury modern, us ladies at Most Curious HQ might just have answered your prayers in the form of East Central London's SOUTH PLACE HOTEL.

Think steel grays, colour pops, herringbone wood flooring and vast windows with iconic views of London. Statement lighting, clean lines, innovative energy saving technologies, stand alone bathtubs with polished chrome and eclectic prints adorning the walls in minimal frames. With open plan space, open terraces featuring heated parasols, and even a warm welcome for man's best friend; South Place Hotel is a luxe home from home.

With their in-house Wedding Planner, Amy Frank, to make sure everything goes according to plan and your pick of six events spaces (all of them if you wish!); South Place Hotel might just be the all-inclusive, fuss-free, contemporary wedding hub for your thoroughly modern day. With a selection of rooms, in their signature style, to suit a variety of higher end budgets; your whole wedding party may even want to move in for the weekend and enjoy the complex's gym, spa and much more.

Angler is the dazzling Michelin-starred restaurant, a favourite of gastronomes and romantics.  Led by Executive Chef, Gary Foulkes, it has seafood at it's heart and the ever-changing menu features only seasonal and carefully sourced produce.

The Angler Terrace is an extension of their Michelin-starred seafood restaurant and is also available to hire.  In Winter the heated terrace is a cosy outside space and in Summer it is transformed into a little piece of Provence.

Their 'Purdey & Steed' rooms are licensed for both wedding and civil ceremonies, can be used for a variety of moments during the day, fitting up to 200 guests! Their other spaces, with various personalities from retro speakeasy to sleek tropicana, can also be hired for more intimate moments, or opened up together for larger receptions. On a very limited basis, their Michelin star restaurant 'Angler', complete with it's glittering mirrored ceiling, can be transformed into a seamless wedding breakfast-cum-party venue.

So if your idea of a fairytale setting is more concrete and chrome than gilt frames and stone, perhaps you should pay the events team a visit at our London fair, next weekend at the Old Truman Brewery. Quick on snapping up TICKETS, if you have yet to purchase yours. Only 4 more sleeps to go, and we are quickly selling out!
