TOPSHOP x MOST CURIOUS Wedding Fair Pop Up

You know what's happening tomorrow, right?!? It's only the TOPSHOP x MOST CURIOUS Wedding Fair Pop Up! We have collaborated with the Topshop team to bring you a mini Most Curious event to help celebrate the very eagerly awaited and hotly anticipated launch of Topshop's brand new bridal collection.

Happening this Thursday 13 and Friday 14 April, in store at Topshop's Oxford Circus branch, you can be one of the first people to lay your eyes, and hands, on Topshops's exclusive bridal collection, which features five limited-edition wedding dresses, 25 bridesmaid options and an assortment of matching shoes, accessories and lingerie. You know this high street favourite won't disappoint and their bridal collection most definitely puts fashion and style at the forefront.  We're talking 90s vibe slip dresses, cold shoulder and Bardot styles, floral patterns and blush pinks, there really is something there for all modern, fashion loving brides.

Not only that but there will also be a select group of Most Curious suppliers there to truly fire up your wedding imagination and provide you with all the inspiration you need to plan the wedding day of your dreams! And when we say your dreams we mean it, Most Curious is all about you and what you want, looking to fashion, media and modern culture for inspiration rather than the traditional wedding world.  We're all about bringing you the most creative and talented wedding suppliers out there, the ones who get that you want your wedding to be about you having fun, dreaming big and most importantly having a wedding that is a true expression and celebration of who you are as a couple.

LIZZIE McQUADE is a Scottish milliner based in London who has a love for intricate hand embellishment, embroidery and unexpected materials. She loves to create hats and head-pieces for the modern, playful and romantic woman, combining exciting textures and trims with easy to wear, elegant shapes.

OH SQUIRREL specialise in making your big day that little bit more personal, offering bespoke stationery for weddings and events, alternate hen party accessories and stylish, one of a kind gifts and decor. Designer Katie has a background in fashion, a unique eye for detail, killer hand writing and a cheeky Northern sense of humour, which means her hand crafted pieces are pretty damn special and seriously stand out from the crowd. 

ROWAN BLOSSOM is a Notting Hill based florist whose style is inspired by her childhood in the Cotswold, echoing the beautiful wildness and intricacies found in nature. Rowan prides herself on her enthusiasim and attentiveness for each wedding she works on, encouraging a collaborative relationship between her and her clients, to ensure their floral dreams become a reality.

LUCIE BENNETT creates the most amazing bespoke cakes, desserts and wedding favours, always aspiring to make them taste as good as the look (and they look really good!). She loves to incorporate local and seasonal ingredients, and embraces both modern and traditional designs, tailoring them to the individual requirements of each bride and groom. An award wining patissier and chocolatier, Lucie's unique style won her the Young British Foodie Baking Award.

TOPSHOP X MOST CURIOUS

We are absolutely delighted to let you guys know about a very special collaboration coming up this week. You might have heard some rumblings, but last month we were asked to collaborate with Topshop, ACTUAL Topshop, to launch their brand new and hotly tipped and awaited bridal collection, which drops this Thursday the 13th April, and we of course said HECK YEAH!

The new collection includes five limited-edition wedding dresses, 25 bridesmaid options and an array of shoes, accessories and lingerie to match.

“Topshop Bride puts fashion and style first and gives a modern twist on tradition," says Topshop creative director Kate Phelan, who is also contributing editor of British Vogue, no less. "The collection reflects the changing attitudes towards dressing for the big day; the Topshop bride can create the perfect look for any wedding style.”

There’s 90s vibe slip dresses, blush pinks, cold shoulder styles and floral patterns, so yeah, it’s all there for the modern, fashion loving bride.

So what about the event?! So we’ve to put on the Topshop x Most Curious Wedding Fair Pop Up in store at the Oxford Circus location, from 9.30am - 10pm on launch day 13th April as well as 14th April too.

We worked with the Topshop team to bring you a mini most curious event, with a hand picked selection of our suppliers to compliment the collection for extra inspo for your wedding day. So we have:-

Super talented Lucie Bennett is showcasing her bespoke patisseries and offering them to visitors who spend £85 or more on Topshop bride too.

Master milliner Lizzie McQuade is offering 20% off her amazing bridal headwear when you spend £250 on Topshop Bride - that’s your look sorted!

And the lovely Oh Squirrel with her cute paper goods and hen do offerings, as well as the chance to get a set of 3 of her stationery pieces with a £85 minimum spend on Top Shop bride.

MOST CURIOUS NORWICH, THE HIGHLIGHT LOW DOWN

MOST CURIOUS, the wedding show for the style-savvy couple is back for another installment with it’s Norwich event this Sunday!

With over 60 suppliers picked from all over the country, with an East Anglian angle, two epically styled fashion shows, DJ, yummy cafe, inspirational decor styling, goody bags for the first 100 advance ticket holding brides through the doors, bubbles, and a friendly open atmosphere to chat through your ideas with the suppliers who will just ‘get’ you!

First up 

The Catwalk….

First up this is a little peek at what went down on the London catwalk, so be prepared for something that both delights and pushes your inspo boundaries at a Most Curious fashion show. The Norwich catwalk shows are to be styled by Lola’s Vintage who has worked on visual merchandising for mega brands like H&M all over the world, so we are super lucky to have her turning a hand to the Norwich event. Expect to see mega things, such as a brand new bespoke leather jacket painting company called Magpie launching at the show on the catwalk!

The Theme….

Remember the PINKTOPIA theme of the 2017 London show, well it will be making a come back at Norwich with Fetti & Bow balloon clusters, more pink velvet and carpet and hand painted selfie wall by Ruth Knapp.

The Suppliers….

Get your portrait done by the The Wedding Illustrator who is exhibiting and will be doing live painted illustrations, so cute!

Mega boho vibes coming through from Lara B Bridal Boutique and the incredible brands she stocks such as Portuguese beauts Rembo.

Buns of Fun Cakes, have a wild outlook for cake design, as the name would suggest! Using only the scrummiest ingredients, over sized floral and foliage cake toppers they are have a real creative flair and free-spirited feel to their cakes that is right up your street.

The Goody Bags….

The goody bags will also have a pink theme and include goodies like stationery from Frog & Penciland Sam Wood, sweet treats from Buns of Fun and Nelson’s Cottage Bakery, Dermatalogica samples from Norwich School of Beauty, a complimentary drink from Adnams, a Rock n Roll Bride magazine and Norfolk Brides magazine too! You have to a) have bought an advance ticket online, b) be a bride and c) one of the first 100 brides through the door on the day to get one. This means planning your big day with sustainability in mind; keeping things natural, seasonal and local, whilst creating a wedding day experience as unique as you are. She also created this lovely shoot with another Norwich exhibitor Bracken + Twine florist, photography by, you’ve guessed it, a Norwich exhibitor! This time Megan Duffield.

How's about Eclectic Eccentricity too, they are a super mix of mystical gem stone vibes, but with cool simple, geometric edge, plus a little bit of whimsy and inspiration from the natural world. Basically, the dream, for modern, slightly boho bridal jewellery.

Fire Pit Camp are gonna be there! The ultimate laid back, beautiful country side, cool venue, with macrame ceremony arch, handmade in hazel wood, an uber warehouse to party in and have your sit down meal, party bus, camping, yoga and The Wren’s Nest is a super cosy, romantic glamping hazel bender tent for your honeymoon suite. AND they’ve just been approved for civil partnerships and marriages so you can actually get legally married there too!

What looks better than henna mendhi and a lace bridal gown, not much, we say – and brand spanking new to Most Curious is Henna Soul. Georgina, a Henna artist provides bridal henna using safe, natural, dark staining henna. I mean, our heads are swirling with the idea of a Henna Bar for the afternoon entertainment…! Unlike most henna artists, her style is heavily influenced by Moroccan and North African henna designs so it looks completely on point. Just sign us up for a session right now!

Super passionate about wedding florals, the Swaffham Florist sisters bring the WOW factor to your blooms. Based in Swaffham but they travel across East Anglia supplying wedding floral masterpieces. Are we obsessed with their big statement arrangements and their collaborations with The Little Lending Co. (who you can also find at the fair) and their arch?! Hell yes!

We think you’ll love House of Snow too, a super stylish but slightly quirky bridal boutique. Owner Harriet has a background in Costume Design for television and theater, and her passion, love of the beautiful textiles and shapes shines through out the boutique. They’ll be showcasing some of the finest and most fabulous designers in the industry, including Jenny Packham, Wtoo by Watters, Pronovias, Pronovias Atelier, Suzanne Neville and Justin Alexander.
